An underground restaurant in Matera's Sassi, where traditional Lucanian and Matera dishes meet the atmosphere of the rock. Between light, silence and stone, eating well becomes a complete experience: the taste of the cuisine, the character of the Sassi and the pleasure of being in a truly unique place.

An extraordinary project

Belgian studio Architecten De Vylder Vinck Taillieu transformed an ancient cellar and cistern into a contemporary space while respecting the stone and the morphology of the Sassi.
