Lucanian wines and Matera DOC

The 2026 wine list highlights Basilicata with San Vito – Primitivo Matera DOC, Rosso San Vito – Basilicata IGT, Gricos – Aglianico del Vulture DOC and Etichetta Oro – Matera Greco DOC. Selected Italian wines complete the list and pair with the Ristoteca’s cuisine.

Aglianico del Vulture, Primitivo and Italian wines

Aglianico del Vulture and Primitivo lead the Lucanian selection, including Siir, Messer Oto, San Vito, Primitivo Maccone and Primitivo di Manduria. Italian wines from Puglia, Sardinia, Sicily, Piedmont, Tuscany, Abruzzo and Campania are joined by Prosecco DOCG, Franciacorta and Trento DOC.

By-the-glass wines and pairings

Wine can accompany dinner, a sharing board or an informal stop. By-the-glass options make the experience flexible and invite guests to explore pairings between Lucanian dishes, local ingredients and carefully selected wines.

Tastings and apericena

The wine experience also unfolds during apericena: pause, share Lucanian flavours and raise a glass inside the Ancient Cisterns. The 2026 list features signature cocktails such as Oro Verde, Stay in Lucania and Grotta del Peccato, plus Spritz, Negroni, Mojito and Gin Tonic.
